Are you in need of restoration? Tai Chi improves balance, strength, and concentration. If you are unable to stand, this class can be modified in a seated position. Our class is taught by a certified Tai Chi Arthritis Foundation instructor. A grant, provided by TSA, AAA 1-C, and AASA, allows for seniors to take this class for FREE once during the fiscal year (must be 62 years of age or better to be eligible).
Enrollment is $48 per person. Seniors 62 years of age or better are eligible for one FREE 12 week class during the fiscal year, while grant funds last. Call Leisure Services at 313-387-2650 for more information on registering.
Class dates for spring and summer are as follows:
Ages 55+
- Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Redford Community Center.
- Spring session: March 30 - June 15
- Summer session: June 22 - September 7
