Walking is helpful in many ways. It can help control conditions including diabetes & blood pressure. Walking can strengthen bones, increase circulation, help heart health, helps decrease stress, boost energy, and decrease body weight. In this class you will walk at your own pace, with goals in mind. You will work on lower body strength exercises, exercises for posture, and gait to ensure you continue to maintain your independence. Participants should be able to walk 10-15 minutes continuously.
Enrollment is $28 per person. Registration is 4 weeks prior to the beginning of class. Call Leisure Services at 313-387-2650 for more information on registering.
