This new fitness class is geared towards the beginner fitness enthusiast, or those looking to break back into exercise. In this class you will be primarily seated in a chair. You will work on strengthening your cardiovascular system with light weights/bands. You will also practice exercises that target your coordination and balance.
Enrollment per person varies depending on class length. 7 week classes are $$31.50. 6 week classes are $29. 5 week classes are $25. Registration begins 4 weeks prior to class start date. Call Leisure Services at 313-387-2650 for more information on registering.
Class dates for spring and summer are as follows:
Ages 55+ (but all are welcome)
- Tuesdays from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Redford Community Center.
- Spring session 1: April 18 - May 30 (registration beings March 21)
- Summer session 1: June 13 - July 25 (no class July 4) (registration begins May 16)
- Summer session 2: August 8 - September 5 (registration begins July 11)
