Theresa Stokes
Parks and Recreation DirectorTheresa Stokes has served as Redford’s Director of Leisure Services since 2015. Prior to that, she had served as the Youth Services Advisor since 2001. She began working with the Township after graduating college in 2000.
Theresa was born and raised in Redford and her family has been part of the community for her entire life. She interned with the Township in college with a focus on at-risk youth.
In her current role, Theresa says she’s proudest of the Leisure Department’s efforts to expand staff and programming. She says the department has worked hard to provide a variety of classes and activities to the Redford community. In the future, her goals include the creation of a new Recreation and Wellness center for more expanded services to residents. She hopes the center will provide a welcome place for recreation and socializing in the community.
